Chico police arrest man with illegally concealed firearm

CHICO, Calif. — The Chico Police Department arrested a man with outstanding warrants and a concealed firearm, Saturday evening.

According to officials, officers responded to 636 W 8th Street for reports of a large party and a noise complaint.

Officers said they had contacted the host, who had agreed to end the party, when they noticed a man with a firearm inside his waistband.

Police detained suspect Shawntre Tillis, 23, of Antioch, without incident.

Officers reported that Tillis had a loaded revolver in his waistband.

Tillis was arrested and booked into Butte County Jail for possession of a concealed firearm in public, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and outstanding warrants.
