ANDERSON, Calif. — On Tuesday, an Anderson police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Vicente Medina, 32, of Delhi, for a traffic violation.
The officer spoke with Medina about his travel plans and according to police, those plans didn't make sense.
K-9 Aero was deployed to conduct a narcotics sniff, which resulted in a positive alert to the presence of a drug odor.
Police say approximately two and a half pounds of methamphetamine and 16 grams of cocaine were found, in the floorboard.
Medina was arrested and booked into the Shasta County Jail, on charges of possession and transportation of methamphetamine and cocaine for sale.
The Anderson Police Department says the case was turned over to the Shasta County Inter-Agency Narcotics Task Force, for further investigation.
