Former 'Real Housewives of New York' star arrested in Florida

BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS 12) - Former Real Housewives of New York star Julianne "Jules" Wainstein was arrested Sunday for assaulting her soon to be ex-husband, according to Boca Raton Police.

According to the police report, Michael Wainstein agreed to meet Jules at Boca Raton Publix to drop off their kids to her.

Michael told officers he started recording on his cell phone when he saw Jules because he felt threatened by previous phone calls.

According to the report, when Michael was recording Jules, she went back to her car, grabbed a baseball bat and placed it on the ground in front of Michael.

Michael started walking toward Jules, while still recording on his phone. As Michael approached, Jules punched him in the face, causing him to drop his phone. The report states Michael had a red mark and scratch on his face.

When talking with officers, Jules said Michael was harassing her and said she smacked him.

Jules was arrested and taken to the Palm Beach County Jail. Her arraignment is scheduled for March 16.
