Caltrans and CAL FIRE plan to burn debris piles Tuesday morning

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. — Caltrans District 1 announced that they would be collaborating with CAL FIRE in burning several debris piles near Route 20 on Tuesday, April 11.

Caltrans made the announcement Monday, stating that the burning would take place in the Double Eagle Ranch area, approximately 13 miles east of Clearlake Oaks at 8 a.m.

The agency warned residents there was a possibility of visible smoke in the area "for a while."
