SISKYOU COUNTY, Calif. — Containment on the McKinney Fire, burning in the Klamath National Forest in Siskiyou County, continues to grow.
As of Wednesday evening, the Klamath National Forest Service (USFS) said containment has jumped from 60% to 75%.
With almost 3,000 fire personnel assigned to the fire, firefighters are making quick work. The USFS said firefighters continue their mop-up operations and are pulling hose back to be rolled up and stored back into the fire cache.
The USFS said over 100,000 feet of hose has been removed from the fireline so far, marking the increased containment.

A shelter has been established at the Weed Community Center, located at 161 E Lincoln Avenue, Weed, CA 96094.
