REDDING, Calif. — A portion of Eastside Road and Wyndham Lane is flooded and closed after police say an intoxicated driver crashed into a fire hydrant in the area.
Before 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Redding police said they received multiple calls about a car crashing into a fire hydrant. Their officers responded to the area and found the damaged car.
After investigating the crash, police said their officers determined the driver, 34-year-old Felicia Roberts, caused the crash while under the influence. She was subsequently arrested for the DUI charge, as well as for probation violation.
Thankfully, police said nobody was injured in the crash.
Eastside and Wyndham remains flooded and closed while crews work to shut off water to the area.
