A portion of Eastside Road and Wyndham Lane is flooded and closed after police say an intoxicated driver crashed into a fire hydrant in the area.

Before 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Redding police said they received multiple calls about a car crashing into a fire hydrant. Their officers responded to the area and found the damaged car.

After investigating the crash, police said their officers determined the driver, 34-year-old Felicia Roberts, caused the crash while under the influence. She was subsequently arrested for the DUI charge, as well as for probation violation.
