ANDERSON, Calif. — Just before 1 a.m. on Monday morning, the Cottonwood Fire Protection District responded to a report of a residential structure fire off of Lone Tree Road in Anderson.
Crews from Anderson Fire, Millville Fire, Redding Fire, Shasta County Fire Station 55, Cal Fire Shasta-Trinity and Cal Fire Tehama-Glenn responded to the incident to assist. By 3 a.m., officials said firefighters had extinguished the blaze and began extensive overhaul.
Officials said the fire was determined to have been caused by a lantern inside the home's bathroom that tipped over.
Cottonwood fire officials said a man was the only person inside the home at the time. However, they were unable to confirm possible injuries related to this incident.
