Free entrance to all National Parks on Earth Day Saturday

REDDING, Calif. — Enjoy the outdoors on Earth Day with free entrance to National Parks across the country and in the Northstate.

To celebrate the start of National Park Week, the park service is hosting an entrance-fee free day on Saturday.

Several parks are in the Northstate:

• Shasta, Tehama, Plumas Counties: Lassen Volcanic National Park
• Shasta County: Whiskeytown National Recreation Area
• Siskiyou County: Lava Beds National Monument
• Humboldt and Del Norte Counties: Redwood National and State Parks

Saturday is the second of five free entrance days throughout the year.
