REDDING, Calif. — A homeless forum is planned for Redding next month: "Redding Restart" will address homeless issues.
It will be hosted by Good News Rescue Mission Executive Director Jonathan Anderson. He says it's an opportunity to listen, learn and share ideas.
“We’re bringing in a lot of people, in our local community, who are experts in this field, working with people that are on the ground level, who are camping, who are in homelessness, who are experiencing homelessness. And then, we’re bringing people from the state level as well. And we’re just going to have a community-wide forum; asking a lot of those tough questions on what does work, what doesn’t work, and hearing from our community with questions that they might have for us that they want us to address," Jonathan told KRCR on Monday.
"Redding Restart" is set for Fri., March 3, from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. The speakers include Police Chief Bill Schueller, Dr. Doug McMullin from the Shasta Community Health Center and Hill Country Community Clinic CEO Jo Campbell.
KRCR has been informed that half of the seats are already reserved. It's free, but if you're interested, you should register at ReddingRestart.com.
