YREKA, Calif. — UPDATE, 5:30 p.m. Tuesday:
The Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office says 15-year-old Gabriel Criner was found safe in Yreka.
He was reported missing after his grandmother tried to pick him up from school on Friday. School administrators said he had missed his last class of the day.

The Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help finding a 15-year-old missing from the Yreka area.
According to the sheriff's office,15-year-old, Gabriel Criner was last seen when he was dropped off at school in Yreka on Friday around 08:00 am. Criner's grandmother came to pick him up later that day and he was not at school. Staff at the school said he missed his last class of the day as well.
Gabriel has disappeared for a day or two in the past, however, he is usually in contact with his grandmother about his whereabouts. His family has not heard from him since Friday.
Deputies say they are unable to ping Gabriel’s phone as it is not currently activated. We have begun handing out flyers to businesses around the Yreka and Montague areas. Gabriel is not associated with any vehicles at this time.
