Multi-vehicle crash temporarily blocks southbound I-5 in Redding on Tuesday

REDDING, Calif. — Editor's Note: As of 4:27 p.m., Caltrans's traffic alert has been removed and the roadway has reopened to traffic as normal.
Caltrans says two lanes of southbound Interstate 5 are currently being blocked by a multi-vehicle crash in Redding.
District 2 officials say multiple vehicles are involved in a crash near the Knighton Rd. offramp—Exit 673. They say the crash is blocking the #2 and #3 lanes of southbound I-5 between Knighton Rd. and Riverside Ave. while crews work to clear the scene.
There is currently no detour available and motorists should expect a delay.
