CHICO, Calif. — October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Panera shops in Butte County are bringing back a special treat to help in the fight against breast cancer.
Pan American Panera Bread bakery-cafés, owned and operated by Flynn Restaurant Group, announced the return of its annual Pink Ribbon Bagel fundraising campaign.
Participating Panera Bread locations, including the one in Chico, will donate a portion of proceeds from each Pink Ribbon Bagel to the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center to help lead the fight for a world without cancer.
The limited-time bagel is available for rapid pick-up, delivery, and catering. Guests can also donate to the campaign by rounding up their total at the register.
Last year, Pan American Panera Bread Cafés owned and operated by Flynn Restaurant Group raised more than $47,000 during its Pink Ribbon Bagel fundraiser.
Other participating Panera locations include Auburn, Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Davis, Fairfield, Folsom, Napa, Novato, Rancho Cordova, Rocklin, Rohnert Park, Roseville, Sacramento, San Rafael, Santa Rosa, Vacaville, Vallejo, and Yuba City.
