SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. — Incumbent Shasta County Sheriff-Coroner Michael Johnson is the frontrunner to keep his position based on early precinct voting.
Johnson ran against candidate John Greene, his first election after being appointed to the position last year by the Shasta County Board of Supervisors.
Johnson has received 16,053 votes, or 64.29% of the total vote, while Green received 8,917 votes, or 35.71% of the total vote, according to the county clerk's office semi-official results.
