Oroville, CALIF. — Oroville police are searching for a man who, they say, robbed a local Chevron gas station with a crowbar early Saturday morning.
The Oroville Police Department (OPD) says they received reports of a robbery at the 3rd Street Chevron at 4:39 a.m. on Saturday.
Police say before they were able to arrive, a male suspect had entered the store with a crowbar. He reportedly jumped over the counter and broke open the cash register with a crowbar. After stealing an unknown amount of cash, the suspect was able to flee the scene in his vehicle.
OPD says the suspect is driving a dark-colored hatchback and was last seen traveling eastbound on Grand Avenue. OPD describes him as a slender Hispanic or Asian male at 5'2 with gray hair. The department says he was last seen wearing a mask and dark-colored clothing.
OPD says no injuries were reported in the incident. They encourage anyone with information to call them at 530-538-2448.
