REDDING, Calif. — A driver crashed a Honda Accord into a Redding donut shop Tuesday afternoon, according to police.

According to the Redding Police Department, it appears like an elderly driver mistook the gas pedal for the brake crashing into the Donut Corner near Hartnell Avenue and Churn Creek Road.

The crash was first reported shortly after 1 p.m.

The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
