The Shasta County Clerk's Office posted updated election totals for the June Primary election.

Several races were highly contested going into election day with incumbents facing new challengers. On election night it seemed that the incumbents had managed to maintain their seats but elections officials said there were still ballots left to be counted.

Two races many Shasta County voters have been keeping their eyes on are the races for Shasta County Supervisor in District One and District Five. In District One, Erin Resner and Kevin Crye appear to be headed for a runoff. Anderon Mayor Baron Browning and Chris Kelstrom led a crowded field for the District Five seat and will likely head to a runoff in November.
