TEHAMA COUNTY, Calif. — Rolling Hills Casino & Resort is set to bring the Friday night fun with The Kings of Queen event, starting at 8 p.m., inside their ballroom at the event center.
The event, which is a tribute of the band Queen, will feature many hit songs spanning their comprehensive discography.
According to Casino General Manager Steve Neely, a critical element these events bring to the table include not just a fun outing for guests but also revenue for businesses in the area—especially hotels in the Redding area. When artist Pitbull was performing at Rolling Hills previously, these establishments became sold out quickly.
We talked to a hotel general manager in the area who mentioned, when she left for the day, one day, occupancy was about 60%, she came in the next morning and it was at 92%...the only thing that changed overnight was the fact that all the hotels, between us and her, had sold out and that was the closest hotel and that was all the way up in Redding. So that will give you an idea of the impact that this venue has on the local economy and it's one of the things that we are most proud of, quite frankly," Neely told KRCR.
Neely says when the elements of fun and progress blend together, it creates a truly unique experience—not only for the Casino, but for the community as well.
