REDDING, Calif. — Brent Close appeared in Shasta County Court and was held to answer on murder and other charges connected to a deadly stabbing at a Taco Bell in downtown Redding.

Redding police say Brent Ray Close, 55, Redding, confessed to that stabbing and another stabbing in October.

Close is accused of stabbing Taco Bell employee 29-year-old Kevin James Richard Wrenne multiple times in an unprovoked attack outside the fast-food restaurant in March.
His next scheduled court appearance is July 25th, at 8:30 a.m. for Arraignment on the Information.
