HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. — Caltrans announced that Route 36 is closed east of Rio Dell at Grizzly Creek Redwoods State Park due to a slide.

Caltrans said the closure spans 1.5 miles east of Dump Road and nearly half a mile west of Abe Wouk Memorial Grove Road.

The highway is expected to open before noon on Thursday, Jan. 12.

Caltrans crews have been working on multiple debris slides from the winter storms in recent days. You can read more about it here.
