ANDERSON, Calif. — Some people woke up this morning to the birds chirping and the sun shining into their rooms, and others woke up to two bulls and a cow in their front yard.
At around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning, residents along Spruce Street in Anderson woke up to the two large bulls and cow on the loose in their neighborhood. Residents captured the moment on camera before rushing to shut their garage doors to stop any unlikely visitors from wandering inside.
One of the neighbors, Emily Trenholm, spoke with KRCR and recalled the moment she saw the big visitors.
"We wanted to bring our kids out to the front, to do yard work, and so we got them in their warm clothes and their shoes. And then, we looked out the front window and we were like, 'Holy cow! That's a cow!'" Trenholm told KRCR.
She added that this was not the first time they have had these large animals in the front yard. Just last year, Trenholm said a horse was on the loose in their neighborhood. “It was like, 'Oh my gosh! There is a huge animal in our neighborhood.'"
The three cattle enjoyed their time in the Anderson neighborhood for around 20 minutes before animal control and city officials returned the animals back to their homes. Luckily, nobody was hurt.
