GLENN COUNTY, Calif. — A local man died after being found shot inside his car in the Willows area last Friday, Oct. 28.
Officials with the Glenn County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) said their deputies were dispatched to the intersection of County Road 60 and County Road 99W, south of Willows, at around 5:30 p.m. after receiving a report of a man found shot inside his vehicle.
The GCSO said their deputies arrived at the scene and found 46-year-old Ramiro Licea Martinez with life-threatening injuries. Emergency personnel arrived on the scene and Marinez was airlifted to a local hospital. However, the GCSO confirmed, the man died from his injuries.
Officials said their detectives from the Glenn Investigation and Narcotics Task Force (GLINTF) have taken over the investigation.
