WATCH: Man on motorized scooter wanted after camera catches him stealing purse

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (WPEC) — A man riding in a motorized scooter was able-bodied enough to steal a woman’s purse, and now police in Florida are looking for him.

Investigators with Port St. Lucie police said the thief reached over and grabbed it from a shopping cart outside a Bravo supermarket, back on March 24.

That man had just left the store. He was seen on camera slowly riding out.

Then, in the parking lot, he swiped a purse from a shopping cart before getting into a white BMW station wagon and driving away.

The suspect had a full gray beard and glasses, and he was wearing a blue shirt with black shorts and sneakers.
