A toxicology report shows the driver who struck a wedding party traveling in a low-speed vehicle on Folly Beach in South Carolina last month had a blood alcohol content of 0.261%.

In South Carolina, law prohibits driving a motor vehicle with a BAC of 0.08% or higher.

According to Cleveland Clinic, 0.26% is usually characterized by confusion, vomiting and drowsiness.

Jamie Komoroski, 25, was arrested and charged with three counts felony DUI with death and or great bodily injury and one count reckless vehicular homicide after striking a low-speed vehicle with her mid-size sedan on the night of April 28.

The bride, 34-year-old Samantha Miller (Hutchinson), was killed in the collision. Her new husband, Aric Hutchinson, and two other family members were very seriously injured.

According to the Folly Beach Police Department, Komoroski was driving 65 mph at the time.

When police approached her on scene, an officer noticed an odor of alcohol coming from her breath and person. When asked if she had anything to drink, Komoroski said she had a beer and a drink with tequila about an hour earlier.

When asked where she felt on a scale of one to 10, completely sober to the most impaired- she said eight, according to arrest affidavits.

According to the affidavits, when she stood up, she was "very unsteady" on her feet and almost fell down, and the officer said they helped her stand.

In an incident report, Folly Beach Police said when they asked her if she remembered what happened, Komoroski said, "I was driving and then and all the sudden something hit me." Police noted she was driving in the opposite direction of her home.

Police said they tried to put her in the back of two different patrol cars, but she refused to place her feet in too, so she was eventually pulled in. During this process, police said Komoroski repeatedly asked why she was being placed under arrest after already being told multiple times.

This is a clear indication of someone who is intoxicated, is to repeat over and over, after their question has already been answered," the incident report states.

Documents show Komoroski refused a field sobriety test and became uncooperative on scene.

At the police station, she also refused to provide a breath sample. A warrant for two vials of blood was obtained and taken by nurses at MUSC. They were sent to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division for analysis.
