VIRAL VIDEO: Police search for marijuana in hospital room of stage four cancer patient

BOLIVAR, Mo. (KUTV) - Footage has gone viral after cancer patient Nolan Sousley defends his THC oil pills when officers search his belongings in Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri.

The Facebook group ‘Nolan’s Tribe of Warriors Against Cancer’ was created in October 2018 after Sousley was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

Sousley since began taking THC oil pills, which he states his physicians are aware of.

However, Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services discloses that although medical marijuana has been legalized in the state, the usage of it is still illegal.

There are still certain steps to be executed before it is made available.

The video shows police searching for marijuana and leaving empty handed after medical personnel intervened.

It has since gone viral with multiple local news stories, 5.3K reactions, 593,000 views and 8,635 shares.
