Couple celebrates 72 years of marriage with special lunch at Chick-fil-A

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WPDE) - A couple celebrated 72 years of marriage with a special lunch at their favorite restaurant.

Fred and Betty Abdon visit theChick-fil-A location in western Pennsylvania almost every Saturday and order their favorite menu items at the drive-thru, find a nice quiet parking spot and enjoy a meal together, a post from the restaurant on social media said.

But on Monday, their sweet tradition got an upgrade.

As special guests, Chick-fil-A Cranberry treated the longtime lovebirds to a special lunch, complete with a limousine escort from their senior center to the restaurant. They were even entertained by a singing quartet and received a complimentary meal including Betty's favorite - Chocolate Chunk Cookies.

The Abdons say one of the secrets to making their love last is setting time aside to keep dating.
