VIDEO: Good Samaritans help seagull tangled in plastic bag

WESTERLY, R.I. (WJAR) — A bird rescue in Rhode Island was caught on camera.

Raf Brown said he was out for a run in Watch Hill on Sunday when he spotted a seagull in distress. When he went over to the water, he saw that the bird had a plastic bag wrapped tightly around its neck.

Brown said it got so tangled that the bag was acting as a string, strangling the bird.

He and some good Samaritans were able to get the gull out of the water. They were able to cut the bag off of the bird and free it.
