VACAVILLE, Calif. (TND) — Police responded to a crash Tuesday morning involving multiple vehicles that left thousands of tomatoes splattered across a highway in California.
Multiple lanes were blocked on the westbound and eastbound lanes of I-80 near Alamo in Vacaville, Calif. after a multi-vehicle crash took place involving a big-rig carrying tomatoes.
Police arrived on the scene to find thousands of tomatoes splattered across the highway.
According to CNN, the tomato truck driver lost control and hit another car before crashing through the center divider. The chain of events left four cars crashed and 3 people injured.
The California Department of Transportation, also known as Caltrans, responded to the crash to clean up the area, the Solano California Highway Patrol told CNN.
