EUREKA, Calif. — Humboldt County Office of Elections officials released a new batch of midterm elections results on Friday.
The new results report includes the additional counting of about 10,000 ballots. Officials say 37,058 ballots have been counted.
Many race leaders maintained their advantage, but the unofficial results show Eureka City Council Ward 3 Candidate G. Mario Fernandez is now leading opponent John Fullerton.
Fernandez is now 78 votes ahead of Fullerton.
In Ward 5, Renee Contreras-Deloach is still ahead of opponent Nicholas Kohl, but she now leads by 44 votes.
Candidates Meredith Matthews and Kimberly White also maintained their commanding leads over the other four candidates in the race. Nearly 2,000 votes separate Kimberly White, currently in second, and Raelina Krikston, in third.
