BRIDGEVILLE, Calif. — A man is wanted on charges of attempted murder and shooting at an occupied home in Bridgeville, according to the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies were dispatched to the 33,000 block of Highway 36 for the report of attempted murder.
When deputies arrived at the property, they reportedly contacted a 43-year-old male victim.
The victim told deputies that he left a house on the property to retrieve firewood when an acquaintance, 34-year-old Clayton Lloyd Miller, confronted him.
The victim reportedly told deputies that Miller yelled at the victim and then fired a gun at him.
According to officials, the victim fled the residence and was not injured.
Deputies say were unable to find Miller in the area, and he remains outstanding at this time, according to the HCSO.
Clayton Miller is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, 190 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes, and officials believe he owns a firearm.
