NWS issues winter storm watch for Siskiyou

EUREKA, Calif. — The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for Siskiyou County.

The storm is expected to impact the higher terrain of Western Siskiyou County. According to the weather service, residents can expect heavy snow between 6 to 12 inches in areas above 2,500 feet.

This weather is predicted to last from Thursday morning through Friday morning. During this time winds could also gust up to 40 miles per hour. In its warning, the NWS said people should avoid traveling during the storm.
